Aura HR - Training

At Aura HR, we provide practical, engaging on-site HR training designed to support managers and staff in real workplace situations. All training can be delivered at your premises, ensuring it is directly relevant to your organisation, your policies, and your people.

Our courses are interactive and discussion-led, allowing delegates to ask questions, explore real scenarios, and gain confidence in applying what they learn. Training can be tailored to your working environment, sector, and organisational needs.

We take care of everything on the day attending your location and providing all necessary equipment, including projector, laptop, and screen.

For organisations looking to develop managers through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) without running an in-house session, we also offer off-site training days. These sessions are delivered periodically at hired venues and are ideal for individual managers or small groups looking to build knowledge, confidence, and best practice in a focused learning environment.

Below is a selection of our core courses.

These represent our most frequently delivered programmes; however, we also offer bespoke and additional training to meet specific requirements.

If there is a topic you would like support with that isn’t listed, please email us to discuss your needs.

Staff Induction training helps managers and team leaders introduce new employees to the organisation in a clear, structured, and welcoming way.

The session focuses on the purpose of induction, how to set expectations from day one, and how to cover key areas such as company values, policies, roles, and health and safety.

Effective induction improves engagement, shortens the time it takes for new starters to become productive, reduces early turnover, and creates a positive first impression that supports long-term success for both the employee and the business.

Discrimination and diversity training gives managers a clear understanding of equal opportunities, inclusion, and their responsibilities under the legal framework.

The session covers the different types of discrimination, personal and organisational liability, and how everyday decisions and behaviours can impact fairness in the workplace.

Key messages focus on creating respectful environments, challenging bias, applying policies consistently, and ensuring all employees have equal access to opportunities while reducing legal and reputational risk for the organisation.

Absence management training helps managers understand how to handle employee attendance issues consistently, fairly, and in line with company policy.

This training gives managers practical knowledge and clear guidance on managing employee absence with confidence and consistency.

Participants learn how to identify absence patterns, hold effective return-to-work conversations, understand legal and wellbeing considerations, and maintain accurate documentation while dealing appropriately with both short- and long-term absence.

Attending helps managers reduce disruption, improve team reliability, support employee wellbeing, and create a fair and transparent approach to attendance across the organisation.

Grievance training for managers equips leaders with the skills and knowledge to handle employee complaints fairly, confidently, and in line with company policy and employment law.

The session covers how to recognise and respond to concerns, conduct or support investigations, maintain confidentiality, document issues properly, and communicate outcomes with professionalism and empathy.

By the end of the training, managers are better prepared to resolve workplace issues early, reduce risk, and foster a culture of trust and accountability.

Disciplinary training for managers provides the practical knowledge and confidence needed to address performance or conduct issues in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant way.

The course explores the practical steps involved in managing disciplinary matters, including reviewing concerns, considering actions such as suspension where appropriate, carrying out fair investigations, conducting meetings, keeping accurate records, and delivering decisions in a professional manner.

Managers leave with a clearer understanding of how to respond to issues confidently and consistently, helping to uphold fairness, accountability, and a constructive working environment.
